What a GREAT DAY OF CELEBRATION we had this past Sunday! Over 70 people were baptized at The Gathering! We all gathered at the Pavilion on campus following the 11:30AM service and had a wonderful time celebrating, along with everyone there, as family and loved ones were baptized . The old and the young lined up to follow Christ in the Believer’s Baptism.

The bible describes it like this:

Karen and I could not have enjoyed the day any better! Although the wind was blowing rather hard, the weather was beautiful.

Touching the NATIONS of the World

It’s almost hard to believe we have been at our new location for a year now! This was our 2nd Easter we have been blessed to celebrate in our new facility and, as you an see from the picture below, we had a crowd that showed up to celebrate with us.

We saw over 300 people give their life to Christ!! Now that’s what I call a celebration!

We are in the process of adding additional parking, (needing more parking space is a great problem to have) but this project will have to wait until our commitment to rebuild a church in Haiti is completed.

In the 12 months we have been in our new facility, The Gathering has been busy getting as many people off the road to hell and on the road to heaven as we possibly can. We have also built a warehouse for The Lord’s Child Ministry which enables us to store the product we give away to thousands of less fortunate people. AND we launched our Walking in the Light Television Ministry! Yes, we have been busy but this is just the beginning!

One VISION, Three Ministries; Touching the NATIONS of the World

God has given us 50 beautiful acres right next door to the Great Smoky Mountains. I wake up every day thanking God for His goodness and mercy. It is such an honor to be that city on a hill whose light shines brightly for all to see.

I can’t wait to see what the next 12 months hold!

If you have been by The Gathering on Wednesday Nights during the past 6 weeks, you may have been asking yourself this question, “what in the world is going on”? Well, we have been PRAYING!! We have been praying for God to “look at us and see that we are your people”. Isaiah 64:9

For the past two weeks we have actually taken our prayers outside, walking around the church campus and with one voice asking God to bring in a harvest of souls for our Easter Service this Sunday.

As we head into Easter, our church is also praying for our Thanksgiving Offering which will be received this Sunday. We have committed to re-build a church in Haiti and I believe God’s people will want to bless His people in Haiti with a new church to worship in. Last week we had Pastor Leon DeOrleans from Haiti speak to our church.
