When God gave the GATHERING and the LORD’S Child a young man named David McMahan, HE GAVE US ALL a SERVANT. I saw David several years ago at the OLD GYM working as a Volunteer and HIS ATTITUDE was so AWESOME. It was not long after that we offered HIM a job. Over a YEAR ago I sent David to help our builder, Chuck Laney and His SON’S at our NEW CHURCH CAMPUS. Also this year David helped us run all the Utilities and Sewer for the NEW LODGE and ELECTRICAL, it is in place. We then Needed over 12 Acres of Sprinklers INSTALLED,and WE ALL forgot HOW MUCH SOD. Then we NEEDED Parking LIGHTS INSTALLED and once again He listen to Chuck Laney coach him thru the PROCESS. We then at the Last Minute decided to build a Pavilion with LIGHTS. Then in August we where given a gift and we decided to build TWO more BUILDINGS, one 40×80 Maintenance Barn then a 120×50 Lord’s Child Warehouse, with 16ft tall Ceilings and Commercial Doors. Oh yea, we also Remodeled the Old Seaton Cabin in the back where another Maintenance and Ground Keeper, Matthew Johnson lives. Today David and his crew are wrapping it all up and installing the electrical in the two NEW WAREHOUSES so we can take care of the 50 ACRE CAMPUS and CONTINUE to HELP the Less Fortunate, and SEE 1000 come to KNOW CHRIST. DAVID JESUS SAW IT ALL. You DID IT BUD! GREAT is YOUR REWARD. THE Best is yet to COME FOR YOU DAVID.

There is a lot of activity going on at The Gathering today! The church is getting ready to host our 2009 Lord’s Child Christmas Event on Tuesday, December 15th and ,as you can see, we have filled our auditorium with 750 bikes to hand out to less fortunate children. We are also giving away 750 bike helmets, coats, sweatshirts AND 350 food baskets to needy families.
It is always an honor to serve the poor, especially during the Christmas season. I believe we are more like Jesus when we give than any other time.
I am so proud of our church family and all the volunteers as they are working tirelessly to get everything ready to receive these precious children!!
Oh, the joys of those who are kind to the poor! The LORD rescues them when they are in trouble. Psalms 41:1
Merry Christmas!
