YOUR PRIMARY CONCERN.
I have BEEN in my Prayer ROOM most of the Night with the Lord. (Nearing 4 am) I sent out an email earlier this week stating that yesterdays MESSAGE was one of the MOST IMPORTANT MESSAGES I would ever GIVE in the 9 years I have pastored the GATHERING.
(I HAVE NEVER SENT SUCH AN EMAIL BEFORE)
During the last service the SPIRIT of GOD made it clear to me, while Karen was Praying over our CHURCH, that there would be NO DUPLICATION to the MESSAGE. Many are already asking, will it be on the INTERNET, can I get it on the PODCAST, or can I even purchase it. Pastor Bobby said, “Pastor after the 9:30 many where already requesting it”
THE ANSWER is: NO
IN over 28 years of PREACHING the LORD has never given me such INSTRUCTIONS. To not do so I would DISOBEY HIM.
I do REALIZE there are REASONS PEOPLE have to be out… I did not start the MINISTRY YESTERDAY… (Almost 30 Years)
I DO BELIEVE we NEED to BE MORE SENSITIVE to MISSING CHURCH…
Exodus 20:8 “Remember to observe the Sabbath day by keeping it holy.
the literal meaning in the Hebrew is, shabbat, meaning “to cease”
the Levitical Law stated,
Exodus 31:15 You have six days each week for your ordinary work, but the seventh day must be a Sabbath day of complete rest, a holy day dedicated to the Lord. Anyone who works on the Sabbath must be put to death.
Thank God we are UNDER GRACE and Not the LAW… But we should always do more under GRACE than LAW…
SUNDAY is THE LORD’S DAY… PERIOD!!! NOT MINE, NOT YOURS… IT IS HIS DAY…
the WRITER of HEBREWS said,
Hebrews 10:25 not forsaking our own assembling together (ATTENDING CHURCH), as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.
FACTS about YOUR CHURCH ATTENDANCE:
- Sunday is STILL A HOLY DAY IN HEAVEN.
- CHURCH Attendance SHOULD be of GREAT CONCERN to US.
- Anybody can ATTEND a CHURCH but, WE are CALLED to WALK with a CHURCH.
- Habits can BECOME bad ACCORDING to SCRIPTURE.
- The AVERAGE CHRISTIAN MISSES 12 to 15 SUNDAYS NOW a YEAR.
- I Remember when it was THREE times a WEEK.
QUESTION: Has the INTERNET and DUPLICATION and PODCAST and EVEN CHRISTIAN TELEVISION help ATTENDANCE or GIVEN us EXCUSES, WHEN we can fit HIM IN, we will WATCH and LISTEN.
IF JESUS is IN HIS HOUSE ON SUNDAY…
Where should YOU and I BE?
I would LIKE TO CLOSE with this thought:
In many ways MY DAD and I have DIFFERENT thoughts about MINISTRY and the PHILOSOPHY of it.
HOW is it DONE?
(Different Translations, Different Music, Different Denominations)
BUT there is ONE THING I LEARN FROM MY DAD and that was,
“WHEN THE CHURCH HOUSE DOORS ARE OPEN HE WAS GOING TO BE THERE”
