The energy and excitement that filled our services this morning confirmed that we are truly in for an experience the next 40 days!
Everyone that stepped on our campus today left with the bracelet pictured here. We ordered 1500 and gave away every one of them! We are asking our congregation to wear these as a reminder to pray for MIRACLES in the lives of others. I believe God is going to allow us to see Him move in MIRACULOUS ways!

We invited him to “Mighty Men” and the room was packed wall to wall… He spoke of HIS Faith, His Mistakes, His Church, His Lessons in Life…
He so MOTIVATED all of our MEN to WALK with the LORD and our WIVES, and to spend Quality Time with our Children…
I wish I could tell you who we have lined UP for the NEXT ONE… it would blow your mind who we are inviting for the first one in January… but don’t miss the November date…

I’m back again on the day of our second ever Mighty Men’s event at the church. I mentioned the other night how pumped I was about our Sr. High guys stepping it up in our Student Ministry but I forgot to mention our “Senior” men that are leading the way. “Senior” simply meaning those of us who have moved past our late teen years, prevailed over acne and moved out of mom and dad’s place.
Last time we met with the Mighty Men back in July we had somewhere around 190 men in attendance. This week we are expecting 250 men to gather together to be discipled and continue to develope into the Godly sons, husbands and fathers we are designed to be.
Men, we are the leaders in our churches. It is time we begin to make an impact and lead by example.
I am stoked about tonight’s event and cannot wait to hear the message our SPECIAL GUEST SPEAKER will be bringing to us. Ladies get your men out of the house and up to God’s house tonight at 4:30 p.m.
Fellas, be there, bottom line.

For those of you who may not have a clue who I am, my name is Chuck Van Hook, the Student Pastor here at the Gathering. I have been so encouraged over the past two months with our Sr. High guys that have been reppin’ the Student Ministry within our church wide MIGHTY MEN men’s ministry. It takes dedication and mental durability (4 hours of intense discipleship), but the guys loved the last session and are pumped about our second meeting this Sunday Night, September 13th.
I know it is the NFL kickoff weekend and Fantasy Football leagues are in full swing (just ask my wife, this year I’m gonna be owning teams in 4 different leagues! Its my outlet leave me alone), but like Pastor Gene always says, Its time we get real with our faith, we know more about our favorite sports teams or TV shows than we do about our God and the Men He has created us to be.
Sons, Husbands, Fathers, Grandfathers, Grandsons, Brothers, Cousins…..If you are a male specimen you do not want to miss out on the MIGHTY MEN’S meeting this Sunday! We are welcoming a very special guest who has a story with the power to change your life. Who is our guest you may ask? Here is your hint, ready? …. It’s a Man. (that should narrow it down for you)
